A China Airlines air waybill number is 297 followed by eight digits, for example 297-XXXXXXXX. The 297 is the IATA prefix that identifies China Airlines; the eight-digit serial ends in a check digit, which catches most typing errors.

Freight forwarders usually book cargo with the airline under a master air waybill (MAWB) and give each of their customers a house air waybill (HAWB). China Airlines Cargo tracks the master AWB, so if your number does not start with 297, ask your forwarder for the master number.

How long does China Airlines Cargo delivery take?
