Cainiao is Alibaba Group’s logistics network that powers many AliExpress and other marketplace shipments.
If your shipping method mentions Cainiao (for example, Cainiao Super Economy Global or Cainiao Economy Global), you can usually track it on Track.global.
Purpose: the cheapest option for lightweight, low-value items.
Tracking: basic; often stops once the parcel leaves China or enters the destination country.
Typical delivery time: roughly 30–50 days depending on destination.
With Cainiao Super Economy Global tracking, it’s normal to see long gaps between events. Track.global helps by combining Cainiao events with any data available from local postal partners.
Slightly faster than standard Super Economy (often 20–40 days).
Designed for low-value items that fall under “special goods” (e.g. certain electronics or accessories).
Usually includes better tracking coverage, sometimes close to end-to-end.
If you see “Cainiao Super Economy for Special Goods tracking” or a similar label in your order, just paste the tracking number above – the process is the same.

Cainiao uses different wordings depending on the route and local partners. Below are common statuses you may see – simplified into plain English.
“Information received / Shipment created”
The seller printed a label, but the parcel may not be with the carrier yet.
“Accepted / Received by carrier”
The parcel is physically at the origin post or sorting centre.
“Export customs clearance / Handed over to airline / Departed from facility”
The shipment has passed export checks and is on its way out of the origin country.
“Arrived at destination country / Import customs clearance started”
The package reached the destination country and is waiting for or going through customs.
“Arrived at local delivery facility / In transit in destination country”
The parcel is at a regional hub or local post office, ready for final distribution.
“Out for delivery”
The courier is delivering your parcel today.
“Delivered”
The parcel was marked as delivered (sometimes with a locker or neighbour mentioned).
Long pauses – especially between export and arrival in destination country – are normal for Cainiao Super Economy Global and Economy Global.

If there is no tracking number at all, contact the seller – some ultra-cheap economy options may not include full tracking.
This is very common for economy methods. Possible reasons:
Normal transit gap – parcels can travel 10–20 days without scans between export and arrival in your country.
Limited service – Cainiao Super Economy Global and Cainiao Economy Global often stop updating once the shipment leaves China or is handed to your national post.
System delay – sometimes scans appear several days late.
What you can do:
Track your parcel on Track.global – we may find extra events from the local carrier.
Check if your marketplace still shows buyer protection time; don’t wait until it expires.
If the parcel is well beyond the typical timeframe, open a dispute or contact the seller.
Partially. Cainiao Super Economy Global is designed as a very cheap, semi-tracked service. In many routes, tracking stops after export or after arrival in the destination country.
Track.global can sometimes show additional events if:
the same number is used by the local post, or
Cainiao provides minimal arrival information for your country.
But for this service you should expect gaps and limited detail – that’s normal, not necessarily a sign your parcel is lost.
Cainiao works with local partners worldwide, often national postal operators or regional couriers. Examples include:

Most of EU: national posts (PostNL, La Poste, Deutsche Post, Correos, etc.)

For cheap, non-urgent items, Cainiao’s economy services are popular because shipping is often free or very inexpensive. Delivery can take several weeks, and tracking is limited, but most parcels do arrive.

it’s safer to choose Cainiao Standard / Expedited or AliExpress Standard / Premium instead of Super Economy.
