Deutsche Post Brief Tracking allows you to follow letters, documents, and small parcels worldwide. Enter your tracking number on track.global or the official Deutsche Post portal to view the latest status, location, and estimated delivery. For international shipments, items may be handed over to the local postal operator in the destination country.
For larger shipments, DHL Paket tracking is used.
Tracking data may take up to 24–48 hours to appear after posting.
Most Deutsche Post tracking numbers consist of two letters, nine digits, and the country code “DE”. Example: RR123456789DE.
Since 2025, Deutsche Post applies new delivery standards for letters:
| Service | Domestic (Germany) | Europe | Worldwide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Letter / Registered | 1–3 business days | 3–7 business days | 5–15 business days |
| Warensendung | 2–3 business days | 3–10 business days | 7–20 business days |
Actual delivery depends on customs, local postal networks, and seasonal demand.
Since August 2024, Deutsche Post has discontinued airmail for letters. All domestic and international letter transport is carried out by road, reducing CO₂ emissions.
