Italian Post
Poste Italiane is the leading postal operator in Italy, offering a comprehensive range of services both domestically and abroad. When it comes to tracking, Poste Italiane is your go-to. Each parcel is provided with a track number, making it simple to search through track.global.
I want to track an Italy Post parcel using the tracking number.
Each parcel is assigned a unique tracking number at the time of order registration. Once the sender has completed the registration process, the manager will provide them with a waybill. This will contain the parcel number in the format RT987654321IT. The first letter indicates the type of shipment, the second letter denotes the type of transport, and the last two letters represent the country of origin.
Regular users of the service track.global were quick to recognise the excellent work being done on the platform. The service offers several key advantages:
- the ability to track shipments around the world, even if several transport companies are involved in the logistics process;
- free access 24/7;
- no need to register and enter personal data;
- fast order processing - average waiting time 2-3 seconds;
- all information is displayed in Russian, in rare cases - in English.
You cannot find a parcel by name, phone number or delivery address. These data cannot serve as a unique identifier because they may appear in several parcels at the same time. To avoid any confusion, all postal organisations must assign a unique dispatch number (not to be confused with the order number) for tracking both international and domestic dispatches.
To track Italian Post items, you need to:- Go to the track.global platform.
- Enter track number into the search box.
- Send request for processing.
You will see the full list of passed items, current location and approximate date of delivery of the parcel to the order pick-up point in the summary. The data is processed in real time, so you will be aware of any changes along the way thanks to daily monitoring.
Through track.global you can track all registered international parcels, for example from UK, Singapore or France, any transport company (e.g. PostNL, Pony Express, J-NET) in real time - the service is available 24/7. All orders from online marketplaces such as eBay, Shein, ASOS or iHerb are under the control of our search robot - no parcel will be left unattended anymore.
I would like to know exactly what types of items the Italian Post works with.
The Italian Post is a multifunctional organisation that provides services to individuals and companies for the delivery of different types of items. First and foremost, we handle small packages with documents and small loads, letters and correspondence. Furthermore, Italian senders can forward parcels and packages and benefit from express delivery.
The tariff is standard: the larger the size and weight of the shipment, the higher the cost. The final cost is also affected by the distance the shipment has to cover.
You can track your parcel using the status information on your certificate. This shows you where your parcel is and what is happening with it. The most common statuses are as follows:
- parcel accepted for processing;
- en route;
- sent to the country of destination;
- at the stage of customs control (also includes status of requiring additional information, not allowed to ship, problems, leaving the point);
- arrival at destination;
- readiness for removal or delivery;
- delivery made;
- return to sender's address;
- failure of attempted delivery.
You may see statuses about loading onto an aircraft, about transit through a third country, about electronic registration of a parcel or about export completion. track.global translates the information into Russian for the user's convenience.
If a parcel is lost or stopped tracking, you need to take action.
Daily tracking allows you to respond quickly to unforeseen situations. If a parcel does not change its status within 7-12 days, it is likely lost in transit. You need to find out when the parcel was last listed to understand what to do next.
If this is within the territory of the Russian Federation, the receiving party is responsible for conducting the search. If the parcel disappeared before reaching the border of the Russian Federation, the transport company that was engaged in forming the route must be contacted immediately.
I am requesting a trace.
The sender or recipient can file an application for a search of the cargo. To do this, you must submit a claim with the route and telephone number for communication indicated. Describe the situation in detail in the application and attach a printout of the route.
The search process will take a considerable amount of time.
The search process can take up to 30 days. If the transport company has not found the parcel or the deadline for considering the application has passed, you are entitled to reimbursement of damages. This is made up of the estimated value of the shipment and the amount spent on sending the goods.
