Where to find the track number

It is not difficult to find out the track code, it is assigned to all items as soon as they are registered at the post office. If you need to track your own parcel, you can see its identifier on the cheque that the operator will give you.

When ordering from Aliexpress, Joom, Pandao, Eicherb or other online shops tracking information will be in your personal account (many services duplicate the number in SMS or PUSH-notifications to your phone).

To follow the movement of parcels or parcels from individuals, you need to request a track from them.

Features of KazPochta track codes

KazPost uses a system of assigning identifiers in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) format. Similarly, items are labelled not only from Kazakhstan, but also from UK, Russia, China and most other countries of the world. A standard track number consists of 13 characters: nine digits and four letters (ХХ123456789ХХХ). The first two characters are the type of parcel, the last two characters are the code of the sending country. It is not possible to determine the recipient country using the identifier.

Types of postal items of KazPost

KazPost accepts three types of items for forwarding:

  • Small packages (first characters of the track number - Rx). Maximum weight up to 2kg, the sum of three dimensions (length+width+height) should not be more than 90cm, the greatest length on one side - 60cm.
  • Parcels (code - Cx). Weight - up to 20 kg, maximum size - not more than 105 cm on one side, sum of length and largest circumference - not more than 2 m.
  • EMS shipments (identifier - Ex). Up to 30kg - ordinary, and up to 20kg - express. Maximum allowable length on one side - 150 cm, the sum of the length and the largest circumference - up to 3 m.

In all three types of track codes, the first character (R,C or E) is invariable - it is the type of shipment, and the second character (x) is any letter of the Latin alphabet from A to Z, which is used to uniquely identify the number.

What to do if you can't find where a KazPost parcel is

If tracking by number has not yielded results, it does not mean that your package is irretrievably lost:

  • Carefully check all entered characters (remember that only Latin characters can be used in tracking codes, and don't confuse the zero in the number block with the letter "O").
  • Contact the sender and verify the correct identifier. Not only individuals, but also managers of large online shops can make mistakes.
  • There is no need to worry if only 1-2 days have passed since the order confirmation, it is possible that the mail has not been delivered yet.
  • If a parcel has been "hung up" at any stage for a long time, contact the department where it was last checked in and ask for a search for the parcel. You can find contacts by postcode or address and the name of the station.
  • If you are certain that your package or box is indeed lost, you can file a tracing request. You can do this by visiting a KazPost office in person or by submitting a request on the official KazPost website. Both the sender and the recipient can apply, but only within 6 months from the date of dispatch.

Important! You should not delay with tracking for a long time, if you ordered the goods by prepayment on an unverified service or from a private seller. You may have encountered fraudsters, and no one sent you anything. Timely tracking will help to make sure that the sender is honest and, if necessary, to take appropriate measures.

As soon as a parcel is registered at the post office, it receives the status "Accepted".

If you placed an order with home delivery, the final status will be "Passed to the postman/courier for delivery" - "Successfully delivered to the addressee".

Messages "Delivery by postman/courier did not take place" or "Parcel returned" indicate that the package, box or parcel was not received. In the first case you can come to KazPochta branch and collect your long-awaited order, but in the second case it is impossible to return it to the post office. In this case, you will only have to wait until the package reaches the sender, and then request re-shipment.

Please note that KazPost stores small packages for 45 days, and large-sized items remain in the office for only 30 days. After this time, they are sent back.
